Razer Hammerhead Real Wireless Device Review

I’ll admit that I wasn’t a fan of the early versions of the Razer earphones because the design, for example, was a bit sloppy. B. The Razer logo, omnipresent and illuminated by green LEDs. However, I have to admit that Razer has outdone themselves with the Hammerhead Wireless Pro and finally created a pair of headphones that I would consider replacing my Jaybirds with.

The biggest change is that they’re not as scary, and while that may seem like a bad thing from a gaming standpoint, it’s what makes the Hammerhead Wireless Pro a true competitor on the market. While some people use them exclusively for gaming, I think most people looking for a wireless headset also want to use them in the real world, when working out or taking the bus. In other words: Situations where you don’t necessarily want to advertise your love of bright LED playground equipment. Although they carry the Razer logo, it is very subtle and complements the design rather than looking ridiculous with the flashing LED lights in the ears.

In other words: They look like everyday sports headphones, and that’s a good thing!

I find it very easy to install them and especially how easy they are to turn on and off. When it is connected to the phone, simply open the cover and in a second it is connected and configured with the phone. Eliminates interference that can occur during Bluetooth transmission.

They’re also very comfortable to wear, but can be suboptimal for intense sports like crossfit or running because they have nothing to hold them in place when you’re actually moving.

The sound quality and noise cancellation is pretty unusual for a headphone, and Razer’s experience with high-end gaming headphones shows here. Few brands can give you such a pleasurable sound experience with a small headphone. I highly recommend these headphones to the active gamer looking for a simple, portable headphone for gaming and the real world.

Low view: Razer Hammerhead Wireless Pro

Power

Razer has applied its extensive knowledge of gaming audio to the Hammerhead Pro, and the result is a powerful set of headphones with pristine sound quality, plenty of bass and impressive noise cancellation.

The Hammerhead Pro uses an advanced Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation system that detects outside sounds and balances them with the sound in your ear. Combine this with a fairly dense design, and you get very impressive noise reduction.

They’re also THX-certified, which basically means that a group of industry experts tested the sound quality and found it high enough to earn the THX label. Totally agree, I usually use in-ear headphones because the quality is usually better, but these headphones offer excellent sound quality for music, games and movies.

Version

Unlike most Razer devices, the Hammerhead Wireless Pro is quite slim, and I’m glad Razer chose this design. You don’t need an overly bright LED headset if you use it both in and out of the game, there’s no advantage to that. They use a mix of classic black helmet design with a touch of Razer showroom. The Razer logo on the earbuds is visible, but not too bright or distracting.

The quality is excellent and represents a fairly high price. The headphones themselves and the housing are luxurious, confirming the adage that you get what you pay for.

Battery connection and operating time

One of my favorite things about the Hammerhead Wireless Pro is how quickly and easily it connects to the right device. No cumbersome applications or lengthy pairing operations: just open the case cover and it connects to your device instantly. The joint remains stable up to 20 feet, after that it deforms slightly.

The battery life is also very good, but is somewhat limited by the active noise cancellation. The headphones can be used for up to four hours on a single charge, and the case will last up to 16 hours longer. This gives a total playing time of 20 hours, provided you do not use it for more than 4 hours at a time.

I was impressed with how quickly they loaded up in the case. After charging for 15 minutes you can play for 2 to 3 hours.

– Conclusion – Quality earphones, but no replacement forgaming earphones

The Razer Hammerhead Wireless Pro is a great way to get great sound quality for your laptop or phone on the go, but of course it can’t compete with a true gaming headset. If you use it for gaming, you have to charge it every 4 hours, which is not ideal.

As a headset for listening to music and videos on the go, however, it’s a good choice, and its connectivity options set it apart from other options on the market. The design is sleek and high quality, and I recommend it to any player looking for an on-the-go option.
